The first day of the New Year is almost over. Time for reflection and looking forward, and of course the traditional New Year's Resolutions.
Actually, thinking about the new year's resolutions made me remember what my brother said a couple of days ago about promises and vision. He explained it that a promise is to go training twice a week, a vision is to have a healthy body. If your new year's resolution is just a promise, then it will not last longer than two weeks. The other memorable example he gave was the promise to lay ten bricks every day versus the vision to have a house. Which is likely to result in a finished building? Not a difficult one to guess. So my difficulty is to try to find a goal, have a vision, make a promise and then break it into manageable chunks. Sounds easy...
On a different, note, it has been a good beginning to the year. I have already entertained three different people at my place today. I begin as I mean to carry on.
